Preschool Music

Music is a vital part of the preschool and kindergarten experience at Munsey through listening, singing, movement, playing simple instruments, and sharing musical games and folk dances. In an atmosphere of play, children develop early music skills such as matching pitch and creating a steady beat, and explore concepts such as high and low, fast and slow, loud and soft. Most important, children experience music as a means of self-expression and a source of joy. Musical celebrations at Christmas and the end of the school year are eagerly anticipated events.

 

The 2s, 3s, 4s, and Kindergarten experience music every day they are in school.
