These centers are:

 ·  "Bible Rama Drama” where children act out bible stories.

 ·  "Movin' Groovin' Mountain of Love" – A place to sing or move creatively, enjoy a game, or to do a children’s mission project.

 ·  "Creation Station" where creative art and cooking abound.

 ·  “The Exploration Station” where science activities help children experience bible stories in a new way.

 ·  “The Sea Creature's Cinema," complete with popcorn and a video that brings the Bible story of the month to life.

 

Our fifth graders, meeting in Room 211, are taught by Billy Darden and Clem Davis who spends a year giving an overview of the bible.  Our sixth graders who meet in Room 210, are taught by Ann Mallicote and Tricia Taylor. They focus on what it means to live as a Christian 24/7, covering the life and teachings of Jesus.

 

On Sunday morning, children gather from 9:45 to 10:05 at “Lift Off Landing”, Room 209, at the top of the staircase near the sanctuary, for an opening that helps us focus on the day’s story. Children go on in to the room. We ask adults to please sign them in at the tables in the landing by the elevators.   This helps us know where to find adults, and also helps us keep track of allergies.   

 

Rev. Christina, our Minister of Children’s Discipleship, along with an outstanding team of volunteers looks forward to welcoming your children on Sunday Mornings.   There is a special check-in table at the doorway to room 209 where new families are welcomed.

 

 Where to pick up your child:

 After our Sunday School opening, your child will be guided by class shepherds to their learning center for the morning.   To pick up your child you will look for their class banner hanging outside of their doorway.  

 

 LIVE B.I.G. Sunday School for age 0 through Kindergarten:  We believe learning begins the moment you are born.  Sunday mornings are delightful here at Munsey.  We use "Live B.I.G." curriculum with our 3 year olds - kindergarten and "Toddlers and Twos" with our 18 months - 2 year olds. Both curriculums are especially designed to help your little person know how special they are and how much God loves them.  Crafts, snacks, musical fun and stories are all a part of our fabulous Sunday morning adventures. 

 

Located on the first floor of the children's wing. Sunday school for this age group begins at 9:50 am.

Green room- Our baby nursery - Taught by Nursery Staff

Purple room- For toddlers and twos – Taught by Eva Price and Nursery Staff

Blue room – Older twos and Threes – Taught by Lacey Vinson and parent volunteers

Orange room- Fours   – Taught by Cathy Roberts, Michelle Jefferson and Brittany Watson

Red room - Kindergarteners - Taught by Judy Herron and Lynn Day

 

Check out and Check in for Sunday school- each child will get a tag with their name and allergies listed on back. Parents are asked to sign in their child and put the cell phone number down in case of an emergency. When picking up your child, you must sign them out.

Our Director of Nursery and Younger Children’s Ministries, Eva Price, and her staff will help new parents get oriented. Please use the doors off the Fellowship Hall to enter the Preschool Hallway.
