The Global Missions sub-team of the Send Team extends the ministries of Munsey Church into the world. The goal of this ministry is to demonstrate our faith through compassionate action, by reaching outside our walls to make disciples.
We support missionaries and mission work throughout the world. We have a special covenant relationship with missionaries in Alaska, Liberia, Africa, Prague and Egypt. To learn more about each of our covenant missionary projects, click on their names or photos.
Our Alaska missionary, Fran Lynch, shared with us in January while she was in the lower 48 states, about her 16 year ministry there.
Helen Roberts-Evans is serving as director of the Department of General Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church in Liberia.
Uhuru Child, a ministry in Africa, was founded by Brad Brown, a member of Munsey.
Michelle McKinnon-Young has begun an english speaking United Methodist Church in Prague, part of the Johnson City District's committment to sharing the gospel in the Czech Republic.
Magdy Bassaly, through the Mercy Ministry program in Egypt are caring for Cairo's orphanded and poverty stricken children.
In 2013, we are sending volunteers from our congregation to work with our brothers and sisters in Christ to Mexico, the Czech Republic and Alaska.
We have been an active supporter with the United Methodist churches of the Johnson City District in supporting our Methodist brothers and sister in Christ in the Czech Republic. We send two teams to host a sports camps each summer.
