At Munsey, we believe in the United Methodist commitment to having Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors. We also feel that the church isn't just people or a place, but a way of life. We believe Open is a verb - our goal is to be transformed people for the transformation of the world. In order to do that, we must be active in
opening hearts,
opening minds and
opening doors. Munsey is more than a building on the corner of Roan and Market Street in downtown Johnson City. Munsey strives to be outbound, unbound by constraining barriers and active, just as the original church was thousands of years ago. We are human beings from completely different places, united by common purpose, experience and belief.
We believe in making a difference in our community by reaching out to all regardless of age, gender, race, color, status or economic condition. All are welcome here, we offer a daily feeding program for those who need assistance, open worship services and small group studies. We believe in making a difference in our world by financial support to our four missionaries and by sending people out to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ!
We beleive to Grow as Disciples, means to be part of a small group ministry that both challenges and encourages.
