Small Groups and Bible Studies:
Living Water
Living Water is a small group that meets on Sundays at 6:00pm. It is targeted primarily for working women but not exclusively. As women we can get caught up in the busyness of our days – caring for families, going to work, serving in church and community – and we don’t realize that, full as our days are, we actually want more. But the “more” that we want is for our souls, and this small group originated from that longing for more… more motivation to be in God’s word…more spiritual depth…more opportunity to gather with other women and build relationships –with God and with others who also want to grow in grace. This small group serves as a support system, prayer group, bible study and fellowship time for women from all walks of life. Contact Tricia Taylor at 926-9331 or singingsop@charter.net or Ann Mallicote at jamasm@embarqmail.com.
Martha Wexler Bible Study (MWBS)
This study is named in memory of one of the original facilitators. It offers an in-depth study for women who desire to learn more about the Lord through the study of the Bible. We begin a new study twice a year: one beginning in early September, and another beginning in mid-January. Small discussion groups meet during the first hour for dialog about the previous week’s study material. Everyone gathers together for video-driven lectures during the second hour. We have used many Beth Moore studies in the past. Several class times are offered to accommodate schedules, Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Alida Ross (929-1214) and Louise Woodhall (282-2128) are the course facilitators. We are delighted to welcome new members to this group. Call either of the course facilitators if you’re interested in joining. UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
