Munsey Preschool and Kindergarten has a place for every child in a nurturing environment rich in art, music, science and language. We establish a partnership between the church, school and family to provide a Christian environment with a curriculum that encourages all children to grow physically, emotionally, socially, academically and spiritually.
Munsey’s Program Provides:
Half-day preschool classes for two, three and four year olds
Options of 2, 3 and 5 days per week for most ages
Half day state accredited Kindergarten
Extended care outside of standard preschool hours
Calendar follows the major holidays and closing of the Johnson City Public School Schedule
Loving Qualified Educators
Mom's morning out avaialable for those children 18 months old and up
Flat rate offered to those that need extended care everyday but still want the benefit of a preschool environment

KINDERGARTEN
Give your child a wonderful gift that will keep on giving throughout his/her school years: a strong foundation in a Christian environment. There are several reasons why Munsey’s Kindergarten program may be a good option for your child. Some of the advantages include a more individualized education, shorter days, emphasis on community, teamwork and creativity, smaller class size, tremendous staff. The Munsey Kindergarten experience provides your child with an excellent academic foundation for attending public school as well as very positive attitudes toward themselves and learning.
We offer a choice of Traditional or Transitional Tracks at our state accredited Kindergarten. Children who are ready and who meet birthday deadlines may move on to first grade after their Munsey Year. Or, for parents who wish for an additional Transitional Pre-k year, the class year provides enrichment and growth, an extra year to mature. Children must be 5 by December 30th to enroll in the Transitional Track, by September 30th to enroll in the Traditional Track.
A Variety of Schedules to choose from in our Preschool:
Each classroom has two teachers, providing excellent child-adult ratios.
Two day Twos on Mondays and Fridays and/or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:45 a.m.
Three day Threes (Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays) from 9:00 to 11:45 a.m.
Five Day Threes from 9:00 to 11:50 a.m.
Three day Four’s (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) from 9:00 to 11:55 a.m.
Five Day Four’s (Monday-Friday) 9:00-11:55 a.m.
Kindergarten (Monday-Friday) 8:00-12:15 p.m.
Mother’s Day Out – Wednesday mornings 9:00 to 11:45 a.m.
Options for early care begin at 7:45 a.m.
Extended care available until 4:30 p.m.
