Pastoral Counseling
Munsey Church strives to provide opportunities for persons to grow in grace and intimacy with God, with themselves, and with others. During times of crisis, anxious concern, or when facing important decisions, counseling helps people find new understandings and options. Munsey’s counseling ministry seeks to enable people to live in the world with increased faith, to grow in their love for God, for self, and for others, and to empower people to grow through the joys, problems, complexities, and needs of their lives.

Some types of counseling that are offered through Munsey Church…

Grief counseling is offered through individual appointments and group sessions that are scheduled at various times during the year.

Premarital counseling is provided to couples anticipating a wedding in their future. Four one hour sessions are required in order to schedule a wedding at Munsey Church and to receive a deduction on the cost of a marriage license.

Life After Divorce group counseling sessions are offered twice a year. The video and discussion formatted sessions provide opportunity for participants to begin the healing process when a divorce has occurred or is imminent.

Referrals are made on an individual basis to licensed therapists and other professionals in the area by our Minister of Congregational Care & Counseling.

Appointments for counseling, or referrals, may be made by contacting Michael Lester, Minister of Congregational Care & Counseling, 461-8070, ext. 231, or michael@munsey.org
